WWI OR WW1 BRITISH CONTRACT COLT NEW SERVICE .455 ELEY DOUBLE ACTION PARTS REVOLVER. Serial number "146XXX". Parts gun with sideplate missing and various internal parts missing. British proofs on left side of frame. Barrel with fair bore and no deep pits with cylinder the same. Crane opens and cylinder spins but old grease will need to be removed. Address and caliber marking visible. Original lanyard ring. No grips. No trigger or springs. Project gun or strip for parts. Original finish fading to patina with salt and pepper overall. Red area on right sideplate(see photo) is grease stained masking tape remnant, not rust. See other British New Service we have in stock(came with this one out of Turkey-probably Gallipoli battlefield pickup) for a complete gun with bulged barrel. Both affordable and can make one complete gun at an affordable price.
