This Winchester M-70 - Cal .270 Serial NO. 314XXX - 1953 - w/factory scope holes w/plugs.
The stock is w/o gouges, deep scratches or dings. there are some handling marks by the chamber and a few on the rear stock. The stock has excellent checkering both at the pistol grip and forearm.
The finish is still a nice overall factory gloss. it obviously has had good care for a 65 year old Winchester. It is all 100 % original
with a smoothe bolt action that is still firm, the gun metal bluing is about 65 -95% w/ the most wear on the drop plate. Which is
quite normal for this age a firearm. Ther are no scratches on the gun metal w'very slight edge wear of the front sight hood.
The muzzle has very light edge wear. Both areas probably from being in/out of a gun case. The butt plate is normal w/only
some edge wear around it.
The barrel is 25" long and the bore is a mirror w/a nice twist.
I would give this gun an overal NRA rating of Very - Very Good to Excellent.
