Description:
This is as nice of a Type 14 Nambu pistol rig as we have ever had!  This is an early production Nambu made in 1930 that is all matching including one of the magazines, and it displays all of the desireable early features.  It has the small ring triggerguard and the early type cocking knob.  It also has the early high polish factory bluing and does not have the additional mag tensioner in the frontstrap.  The fit and finish on this Nambu is excellent and far superior to the later production guns.  It is in excellent +/minty original condition.  99% of the original gloss blue finish is still present on this pistol.  The strawed trigger, safety lever, and backside of the mag release still show a lot of the bright yellow factory finish.  The bore in this pistol is flat mint, as are the rest of the internals.  The rifling looks new, with sharp lands and grooves with zero pitting or erosion.  The bolt face looks brand new.  This gun could possibly be unfired since being test fired at the factory.  There is no evidence externally or internally to suggest it has ever been fired.  The original grooved wooden grip panels are also in excellent "like new" condition and show no signs of wear, chipping, or cracks whatsoever.  All of the numbered parts are matching including the firing pin and 1 of the 2 magazines in the rig.  Everything on this pistol works 100% like the day it left the factory in 1930.  This Type 14 Nambu comes with a beautiful leather Japanese military holster, an extra magazine, and the issued cleaning rod; all of which are also in excellent condition.  The holster is still soft and supple with nice tight stitching, and it has an intact hinge and closure tab.  It is obvious that this rig has been properly cared for and stored.  Both the matching and non-matching magazine are in excellent condition and work perfectly with strong spring pressure.  If you have been looking for the very best Type 14 Nambu you have ever seen to make the centerpiece to your collection look no further.  This is one that would be essentially impossible to upgrade from in terms of condition or originality.
