Description:
U.S. Model 1866 2nd Allin conversion Springfield. This gun is in very good plus near fine condition and is 100% complete and original. All markings are sharp and clear on lockplate and breech. Barrel is smooth with original finnish, bore is very good, original cleanig rod with threaded end. Stock is very good with sharp cartouche on left flat and shows original finnish. Has two small chips by tang. This is the rifle used by the soldiers in the Red Clouds war and in the fights near Fort Kearney and Fort Smith Wyoming. Hard to find in unaltered near fine Cond. at this price. Came from a large private Colection. Call for more details.
