Description:
Rare Smith & Wesson Schofield Wells Fargo Model Revolver. Scarce gun with the Wells Fargo markings. This gun started life as a regular military issue Schofield and then after these were retired from military service sold to Schuyler, Harltey & Graham who were New York dealers. These guns in turn were sold to Wells Fargo. The barrels on these guns were shortened to 5 ½” from 7 ½”. The right hand side of the enjector housing has the Wells Fargo markings. This is a very fine example with very good original blue on the barrel, frame and cylinder and even traces of case colors on the hammer and trigger guard. Nice sharp scarce gun!
