Exceptional 3rd model Colt Dragoon. Serial #14422 matching, including wedge. Metal overall is a beautiful age-brown smooth patina, no pitting whatsoever. What makes this Dragoon stand out from the others is the stunning cylinder scene which rates .90%-.95%. The Colt's Patent panel which is usually the first to go is all there. The "Ormsby" line is distinct and clear. Safety cylinder pins are all visible, slightly battered. Clear New York barrel address, as well as Colt's patent frame marking. Bore has sharp rifling. Mechanics are tight. The backstrap and triggerguard retain approximately .75% of the original silver. Walnut grips are excellent with thinning original varnish. Unbugered screw heads. No need for an upgrade here.
