Issued to the Troops in the Civil War. The metal is all ,smooth to the touch, blue/brown patina. Some original blue remains in protected areas. The walnut grip panels are solid. The left grip panel shows a faint "Cartouche" . Martially marked with inspector stamps. All numbered parts, barrel, trigger guard and frame all have same number as serial number.
