Description:
Here is a beautiful Luger P-08 in 9 mm and dated 1918. This pistol was never issued to the military and was designated for police use only. It’s an early Weimar Republic, Nazi era and Russian captured piece and was assigned to police use in East Germany. It has the correct modification and grip panels and was an Arsenal rework at Mauser as indicated by the S/42 stamp on the toggle while the S.B. marking on the front strap indicates it as a Berlin police pistol. The magazine is a modern replacement.
Also included is the old holster which is in wonderful condition and also carries a spare magazine and a reproduction take down tool. This pistol and holster are just as crisp and clean as they appear in the photos.
Also included in this package is the rare (only 200 copies printed) Tinker/Gruber book, POLICE LUGERS which is signed by the authors. This book was the basis of the information regarding this pistol and is an invaluable guide to anyone who collects or wishes to collect this unique variation of Luger pistols.
This pistol and book will be a valuable addition to any collection.
