VERY FINE C&R Hopkins & Allen Top Break Revolver
.32 S&W Made Circa 1900
Here we present a Hopkins & Allen Top Break Double Action .32 S&W Revolver, made circa the 1900 in Norwich, Connecticut. This 5-shot, .32 revolver was made for self-defense in the early 20th Century, and would have been a convenient companion worn in a belt holster or even stuck in a coat pocket. Hopkins & Allen was founded around 1867, acquiring Thomas Bacon’s company, and producing a wide array of revolvers at the close of the 1800s. They are perhaps most famous for manufacturing Merwin & Hulbert’s excellent revolvers.
The barrel is marked “HOPKINS & ALLEN ARMS CO./NORWICH CT. U.S.A. PAT. DEC. 8 98”. Grips are marked “H&A”.
The overall condition is very fine. The original nickel finish is 98%. Blue on the trigger guard is 90%. The case colors are still present on the trigger and hammer. The markings are clear. The grips are in very nice shape. The bore is in good condition. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice little early 20th Century revolver!
