VERY FINE Antique English WEBLEY Patent Revolver
British .32 Rimfire Revolver in Case with Accoutrements
Here we present an antique Webley Patent Revolver, made circa the late 19th Century in Birmingham, England. It comes in an old custom-fit case with a screw driver, oiler bottle and ejector rod. There is also a compartment for ammunition. This pistol was made when the company was known as P. Webley & Son. Philip Webley became known for his revolvers starting in the 1850s and his reputation only grew from there, eventually merging to become Webley & Scott.
This medium sized revolver would have been just the sidearm for a gentleman. It features a beautiful, high-polish blue finish and tasteful engraving on the muzzle and top strap. It has a very smooth double-action trigger in a very popular and manageable .32 Rimfire. The left side of the frame is marked “LONDON/No. 66372”. It bears Birmingham proof marks on the cylinder and barrel.
The overall condition of this revolver is very fine. The original, high-polish blued finish is 45%. The markings and engravings are clear. The finely checkered grips are original and in excellent shape. The bore is smooth. The action is crisp and excellent. Here is a very attractive, high-conditioned Webley Revolver!
