BRILLIANT ORIGINAL COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL 1911-A1 .45ACP PISTOL, CIRCA 1953. "C" suffix serial number. Factory blue almost 100% on slide and frame except 1" area under right grip panel(hidden when grip is on) where there is some pitting and subsequent color loss(almost entirely obscured by grips). Rest of gun is pristine but for some light use wear(typical takedown lever area and slide stop notch). Trigger shoe added. Factory sights correct. Crisp slide address. Brown plastic grips. Barrel caliber markings faint so probably barrel swapped out but Colt nonetheless. Would make a nice Government Model for the range.
