After that the Lugers were dated with 1936 being the first year. This Luger is all matched numbers including the correct magazine. The toggle has the standard S/42 code for Mauser. The pistol's serial number is 7016 d. The bore is bright and free of pitting. The straw colored parts have vivid strong straw color. The straw coloring would rate a 97% overall finish. The rust bluing would rate a 98+% overall condition. The grip's checkering is very sharp with no point loss. The magazine has all of the original plating. The grip screws retain most of the nitre bluing. This Luger has the correct army acceptance codes on the right frame rail. This pistol shows very little use or service wear. Overall this pistol would rate a 98% condition. These early Nazi era pistols did not survive well in this condition. Most saw hard service use.
