Description:
This is a very nice used Colt 1860 Army Revolver. Three screw .44 caliber, percussion, with an 8" barrel and a strong bore, showing pitting. Serial number #92590 and all matching numbered parts including the arbor and wedge. Circa 1863 during the Civil War. Approx. 90% of cylinder scene remains visible. "COLT'S/PATENT" on left side of frame is also lightly struck. Has military inspector's markings on barrel, backstrap and trigger guard. Barrel address reads: "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA". Indexes properly and has no looseness in action. Walnut grips show small loss on edges and some shrinkage. Has a brass trigger guard and a steel backstrap with a small screw in upper neck area along with two small drilled holes in buttplate, possibly for a lanyard attachment. Has original grips that are solid and show some loss on right side. The government inspector cartouches on each side are thin, and barely visible. Metal finish are a pleasing, lightly cleaned , grey patina. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
