Description:
An early Westley Richards Connaught 20 bore ejector gun with 26" barrels. The serial number, G6708 shows it to be the eighth gun from the first year (1961) of production. Its green W R canvas case has snap caps, oil bottle and cleaning rod with jag and brush. L o P is 15 3/8" to a checkered butt. Drop at the heel is 2" and at the comb 1 3/4". The stock is of very nicely figured English walnut with a 1/4" cast off. The bores measure .615" with .009" choke in the right barrel and .012" in the left. Weight is 5 lbs 8 oz empty. Condition is 99% with a very small bit of blue wear at the breach of the left barrel (see photo), probably from being moved about in its case. The gun exhibits very little use, and probably has never been afield. After 57 years resting in its case it might be time to go shoot some quail or woodcock. Health forces sale.
