Description:
This Colt was produced in 1970. Serial number is 7415 MR. This is the third and last variation of this model. This Colt chambers the 38 Special wad cutter ammunition. This pistol is all original with no alterations or add ons. The rear sight is the Elliason ajustable sight. The barrel is the correct Mark III barrel with the grooved chamber. The Magazine is the correct late style five shot with the double split finger bullet guide. The wood grips are in fine condition with no issues. The grips show some nice figuring. This pistol has been shot. It has been well cared for as you would expect for a target pistol. The high polish is bright on the slide sides. the low luster finish on the frame and slide top is intact. There is a few specks by the muzzle on the right side of the slide. This pistol would rate a 98% overall condition. The box is in good condition with some scuffing around the edges. The original test target is included with the serial number, signed by the tester and dated. There is also the original instruction sheet included with this box. This model of 38 Mid Range pistols are the rarest of the standard production National Match pistols ever produced. There were slightly over 9 Thousand pistols in all three variatins produced in total for this model. The quality of workmanship in these pistols is of the best offered from Colt. These pistols are not often seen for sale. It is even harder to find one with the original test target! This is a really nice highly collectable rare Colt that would make any Colt collector proud to have. Search for Harry Viezens on google.
