Description:
Winchester Model 71 .348 WINCHESTER DELUXE RIFLE
97% FACTORY FINISHES, PRE-WAR!

General Specs: Winchester, Year 1937, .348, 8lbs 9oz, Bolt Rifle
Serial Number: 12021

Here we have an unmolested Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Rifle, complete with the factory sling and Winchester Model 98A Factory installed bolt peep sight, 97% factory blue on the barrel, 90% factory blue on the receiver, 99% factory blue on the lever, and near perfect factory checkering and wood finish. The Model 71 was basically a continuation of the Model 1886, with the same action, but the addition of the pistol grip butt stock and beavertail style forend. Manufactured from 1935 until 1958, the Model 71 was produced in .348 Winchester caliber only. There were few Deluxe Rifles made, and this one, serial number 12021 made in 1937, is a great example of a pre-war 71 Deluxe as it is unmolested in any way and comes complete with the factory leather sling, and perfect mechanics. PRE-WAR MODEL 71’S ARE MUCH HARDER TO FIND AND MORE DESIRABLE IN THE WAY OF FIT AND FINISH AS WELL. The Winchester .348 is a great mid-range caliber, shooting a 200-grain slug at a velocity of around 2500 fps. for plenty of brush bucking stopping power. The ammunition is still available from several sources on the internet. The trigger is crisp breaking at 4.25 lbs. and the rifling is clean, sharp, and mirror shiny. It would be hard to find a better Model 71 Deluxe with all these goodies and at this price. Thanks for looking.
