Description:
Original wood and metal finish. No makers name but probably Belgian.The checkered stock has shallow checking but no cracks. Photo #9 shows there is a small sliver of wood missing from the fore stock on the left side above the rear escutcheon plate. The barrel measures 38”, Overall length is 55.5” and weight is 18.5 pounds; Bore ID measures 0.840. Half cock, full cock and triggers all work. Double keyed for heavy loads. There is engraving on all metal surfaces except the barrel. Original ramrod. I have owned this shotgun for over 40 years. The family I purchased it from told me that the loop behind the trigger guard was used to tie the firearm to the gunnel of a punt or boat.
Note: This shotgun is a wall hanger and is not sold for shooting.
I will drive 4 hours to meet for a personal inspection or shipping and insurance will be $100.00. The shotgun will be shipped via UPS in a foam padded case inside of a cardboard box.
