I have a 5 inch barrel S&W 38/44 Heavy Duty 38 special revolver. It is in 98% PLUS condition. The original owner advised that it has never been fired since leaving the factory. Upon very close inspection, I agree that is does not appear to have been fired. The grips are not original to this revolver. It has a very faint cylinder line. On the left side of the barrel it has a very small spot missing the bluing (see attached in photos). The bore is perfect. You will be hard pressed to find a Heavy Duty from this era 1954/1955 serial number S105XXX in this condition
