This Colt is a second year production pistol made in 1931. The pistol's serial number is 2740. This is an all original unaltered Colt. The letter states that this pistol was shipped to Erb Hardware Co. in Lewiston Idaho June 15 1931. This Colt shows some holster wear around the muzzle. The lockup and timing of the action is perfect, The trigger pull is nice and crisp. This pistol really shows very little shooting. The chambers and bore are bright and clean. The right hand grip has a small chip at the toe. It is not really visable frontal, only to the side. Other than that, the grips are in fine condition. The bluing is strong with no patina or rust spots. The bluing would rate a 96% condition. Also included is a original Colt box that came with this pistol. It is a correct box for this pistol, however, the end label is missing from this box. The box is sound and in good condition. This is a great pistol for a shooter collector to have and enjoy. These Official Police 22's have been one of Colt's more popular revolvers for the shooter, plinker due to the nice smooth action of these pistols. Search for hlvfineguns on google.
