Description:
Beretta Game Gun - Model SO4. SN: A045xxB. 12ga. 28" Bohler steel barrels with nicely cross filed vent rib.Choked IC/M. 2 3/4" chambers and ejectors. Full Beretta sidelock action built like a bank vault with double lug/ crossbolt action. Single selective trigger and non-auto safety. Coin finished sidelocks tastefully scroll engraved in classic SO4 style. Blued triggerguard marked "Trap" on bow and marked "SO4" on tang. Beautifully figured European walnut finely checkered semi pistol grip stock with new(er) finely checkered walnut buttplate. Measurement 14 1/2 x 1 1/8" x 2". Silver initial oval in buttstock not engraved.
Condition: Gun is in very nice original overall condition with newer walnut buttplate added and possible triggerguard replacement as this is not a trap gun. Gun retains all of its original blue. Bore bright and clean. Slight freckling to triggerguard tang. Ejectors in time and strong. Wood retains all of its original oil finish and has scant handling marks but overall very nice. Fine checkering slightly softened with age. Gun locks up tight.
