DUTCH BEAUMONT VITALI MODEL 1871 OR M187/88 MILITARY RIFLE. 11.3X51R caliber. Serial #469 and all matching receiver along with “2259” on barrel and buttplate. Barrel marked 1873 above barrel number. Has “P. Stephens/Maastricht” on receiver. Crisp proofs on barrel around rear sight. 32 1/2” round barrel. This one is a very good speciman with patina beginning to turn dark. Stock all original with almost no dings and most of the crisp proofmarks. Faint round Maastricht cartouche on right stock. Matching barrel bands. Cleaning rod a replacement. Excellent unturned screws overall. Mirror finish bore with crisp rifling unheard of for black powder era rifle. Very good overall. Make a nice shooter. Tight lock-up.
