This Browning Lightning is an over-under shotgun chambered in 20 gauge. The Lightning is one of 12 shotgun variant lines in Browning’s line and its name from its lightning style rounded pistol grip and rounded fore-end. These features may give a slight advantage in speed-to-shoulder action. Its barrel and receiver are made of steel with a blued finish, the stock is walnut with a gloss oil finish and it has an front bead sight.
Common features for the line include back bored barrels, a process that increases bore diameter resulting in higher shot velocity, reduced recoil, and more uniform shot patterns. Barrels are also fitted for interchangeable Invector Plus choke tubes. Its barrel selector system allows shooters to choose which barrel shoots first. Its automatic ejectors eject spent shells when the breech is open. And it has corrosion-resistant chrome-plated chambers for increased durability.
Browning recommends the Lightning for general shooting and hunting. This shotgun has a 24 inch barrel.
