Original antique Remington Model 1858 New Model Army pistol. Believe this an early production piece as it has old model silver cone front sight and barrel was never stamped NEW MODEL. Metal ivery good condition; smooth, sharp edges, barrel retains fair amount of original blue. Small military inspection stamps on metal parts. Faint cartouche on grip. Markings and mechanices fine. Well cared for pistol. Not warranted safe to shoot due to its age.
