Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1917. 5.5 inch barrel, blued 6 shot. Matching wood grips numbered to gun. S prefix serial number. This model with the S serial number prefix is the rarest of the fixed sighted .45 Hand Ejector model of 1917. Fewer then 1000 made 1946-1950. With letter. Shipped July 6 1948. S&W trademark on sideplate. With lanyard ring. 5 screw. Fires the 45 ACP using half moon clips or the 45 auto rim cartridge. A very nice gun with no scratches or wear marks. Slight cylinder drag ring. Please view pictures csrefully and ask questions or request pictures. 3 day inspection with buyer paying for return shipping. Will accept USPS MO.
