T. Cleveland (JTC) on the barrel and frame, but no “U.S.” stamping on the frame, so apparently never delivered to the Army and sold as a civilian purchase. Very good action, and the hammer has all the clicks intact and a positive lock-up. The bore looks to be about a 6-7 on a scale of 10 and has no serious pitting or bulges; just the usual wear. The exterior has some scattered light to medium pitting in spots (mostly on the barrel in a few spots; see pictures); the markings are all very good with the correct good block address. The grips are basically Very Good with just small flea bites to the toe edges and dark sweat stained. They look to be the correct original grips to this revolver, as they fit excellent. A very decent and very early S/A in very good overall condition and being uncommon, being what is called by collectors as a military over-run. About VG as described. $3695 SOLD |
