Description:
Doppelbuch (double rifle) drilling from Reinhold Jonas in 9x57R/9x57R over 16ga. (choked Full) 251/4" Krupp nitro proofed barrels with reverse side clips for side bolstering. The game scene engraved action has a Greener style crossbolt and double intercepting underlugs making for a very strong action for the powerful rifle cartridge. The very well executed engraving has boars on the left side, stags on the right side and roe deer on the bottom of the action.
The barrels feature one standing and one folding rear sight. Bases for claw scope mounts are also fitted into the rib. The shotgun barrel has a very good bore and the rifle barrels feature strong rifling.
The nicely figured walnut stock is 14 1/4" LOP to a horn buttplate. It has a horn trigger guard. The action features double set triggers and a tang mounted selector for the right rifle barrel or shotgun.
Overall condition for this high quality drilling is very good. A small wood repair on either side of the trigger group is the only flaw I was able to find.
