We special ordered this shotgun several years ago from Merkel for one of our older customers. He wanted the case hardened frame but wanted deluxe wood and 30 inch barrels choked improved cylinder and modified. Merkel had only offered 30 inch barrels on a limited run of 20 Gauge Sporting Clay guns a few years before. They agreed to make it only after they found that they had a set of 30 inch barrels left over. It took 12 months, but it was worth the wait. The gun is still in near new condition with an exceptional Turkish Walnut stock and forearm, mint barrels and receiver, and its original box and paper-work. The LOP is 14 3/8 inches with an English straight grip stock and double triggers. Our customer never got much of chance to use it and now it is available. We doubt that there is another one like it.
