Description:
Antique Civil-War Colt 1851 Navy .36 Caliber Revolver Mfg in 1861, Matching #’s Will Letter. The Serial Number is (98181). The Original Finish is a mix of brown, blue & gray. The Barrel is Marked (ADDRESS SAM COLT HARTFORD C.T.). The Cylinder still has a Good Etched Navel Scene with some wear, stains and pepper pitting. The Original Colt grips are in Good condition with No Cracks but there are dings with the worst being on the Butt that can be seen in the pictures. This gun does work as it should the cylinder does lockup in the Full Cocked position. The Bore is Fair with scattered pitting. Because of this serial number Colt can still do a letter for this Navy that might prove to be interesting. All of the Serial Numbers do Match and are Clearly seen on all of the parts in the pictures.
