Description:
Offered is a Colt Officers Model Target .38 Special with the seldom encountered 7 1/2” Barrel. This is one of the Rare Officers Model Targets that was referred to as a Battle of Britten gun as it was shipped to England during WWII. It has the British Proof Marks but was never used and returned to the United States. It remains in new condition and looks to be unfired. The gun is mechanically perfect as it left the factory. The bore is like new and the finish is 99+%. The original factory checkered walnut grips remain in new condition. The gun comes with a copy of a 1930's Colt Officers Model Target brochure. A rare Colt in extremely high condition that would fit in the best collection. The serial number dates the gun to 1940-41. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
