Description:
A rare model in near mint condition. Estimates are that less than 1000 were made. Factor-in the "english" style staight grip stock and you have a very scarce gun.
The condition is exceptional. The gun shows very little use. It retains 95 to 98% of its original finishes. The wood is highly figured. The gun is tight on the face, with or without the forend attached.
There are some minor scuffs on the left tube near the muzzle. There are a couple of very small harline cracks in the wood. One at the right horn near the frame and one at the tip of the forend. I have shown these flaws in the photo's. These do not interfere with the function ofthe gun. This would make a woderful grouse or quail gun, or would be equally at home on the skeet range.
The barrel flats are stamped S&S, presumably skeet & skeet. However, using my Galazan choke gauge the right tube measures improved cyl., while the left shows modfied. The bores are bright and shiny. I do not have a wall thickness gauge but the tubes do not show any signs of being tampered with.
