Description:
For sale is a Philidelphia-era Fox in a rare 16 gauge trap configuration with a beavertail fore end. The metal finish is original and 95%, including blue and case colors. The wood has been professinally refinished. Orginally, the relatively rare beavertail forends had a sort of schnable on the end. The schnable was removed when the fore stock was professinally refinished. At that time a sporting clays type pad was added to the otherwise unmodified original butt stock, bring the length of pull to 14 3/4". This is a very high conditon Sterlingworth with a pleasing feeling with this unusual fore end style. This gun has the standard 16 gauge Fox 2 5/8-inch chambers, with full and modified chokes on 28-inch barrels. Weight: 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
