REDUCED - From a local collection comes this nice Springfield M1 Garand National Match rifle in .308 (7.62 Nato) caliber. It is best described as a Type 2, with a receiver build date of december of 1944. It is our understanding this rifle was last used in National Match competition in 1984, and since has been in a collection (or rather accumulation) and not fired. Rifle bears all the attributes of the Type 2 National Match .308 Garand and is original in all respects. Even has a set of original match cleaning tools in the butt. These original, and not built up recently imported CMP guns, are extremely difficult to find in
any condition and this one is excellent overall, including bore and chamber.
