Description:
Original WWII Japanese officer's private purchase belt holster. Brown leather, full flap, no provision for an extra magazine. Measures
approx 6 inches top to bottom and 5.5 inches at it widest. It looks to be just the right size for a Mauser 1910. Imperial Japanese, army and navy officers had to purchase their pistols. The only restriction being how much they had to spend. This resulted in officers carrying a wide variety of  pistols. Pocket pistols were very popular. Japanese officers could be found armed with anything from Colts or Walther's to Spanish Unique's It was common for Japanese troops to personalize their field gear. This holster has a brass Imperial Navy officer's cap badge attached to the flap. Excellent condition, leather is supple, stitching is tight. A very nice example of a hard to find type of WWII Japanese officer's holster.
