Colt Single Action Rimfire .44 Rimfire caliber revolver. Made in 1876. This gun has a smooth brown patina throughout the metal. There has been restoration on this gun, including the barrel being lengthened after it was shortened. The gun was converted back to rimfire after it had been converted to centerfire. The number on the cylinder has also been renumbered. Most of these Rimfire Single Actions were shipped down to Mexico and numerous alterations were made. Collectors started trying to bring them back to “original” and this gun appears to be one of them.
