This 98 Mauser action rifle is from Albrecht Kind aus Huntsig of Germany. Per information from the company representative the rifle appears to be from the 1960's. Although they could not provide any further specific details, the rep advised this firearm was possibly sold to the US Army Rod and Gun Club in Germany. The company was founded in 1853 and has supplied firearms, and manufactured high quality scope mounts and top quality leather goods. Many gunsmiths consider their German Claw Mounts to be the best available. Over the years they represented most of the well known gunmakers of Germany and other countries. They also had guns made to their specs by major gun companies, all marked with the name "AKaH". Among these were guns made by J.P. Sauer and Sohn, Zastave, Krico/Kriegskorte, and Voere. The company never manufactured guns themselves, but had great influence over the gun markets.
