Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: 3) EXTREMELY SCARCE AND HARD TO FIND IS THIS SHILOH SHARPS 1863 .54 CALIBER PERCUSSION 30" OCTAGON SPORTING RIFLE, MADE IN BIG TIMBER, MONTANA, most of the Shiloh percussion 1863 production were saddle ring carbines and military rifles with very few sporters produced, this one is a fairly standard No.3 Sporter with nice reddish/brown walnut butt stock and forend, double set triggers, case hardened steel military butt plate, full buckhorn Lawrence ladder rear sight with blade front sight along with a Shiloh sporting tang sight adjustable for windage and elevation- has rubber sight disc protector, weighs approx. 10 lbs. and is in about new condition. Shiloh has discontinued the 1863 percussion models and may never make them again which is too bad. I am a real fan of the percussion Sharps sporters and have several. I breech seat the bullets (cast fairly soft and lubed with SPG) and funnel in loose black powder behind. I cap it off with an RWS musket cap and get groups at 100 yards equal to any I can shoot with my Model 1874 cartridge models. Price on this one is $2250.
