Description:
A nicely balanced pre-WWII side by side double by Emil Kerner in Suhl Germany. The barrels are 29 1/2" and the stock LOP is 14 1/4" to a horn buttplate and the gun weighs 6 lb, 9 oz.
The boxlock action locks up tight with dual intercepting underlugs and a Greener style crossbolt which locks into the barrel rib extension. The action has 50% engraving coverage with small panels of game scenes on both sides, the bottom and the trigger bow. The action also features a tang safety and double triggers.
The barrels are Krupp steel with reverse side clips for additional side bolstering and features a single metal front bead. The barrels are in good overall condition and the bores are fair with some slight pitting. The barrels are choked Full and Modified.
The overall condition is very good for a gun of this vintage. The nicely figured walnut buttstock is very solid and there is only a small repair to the tip of the foreend.
