Listed for sale is a rare French Model 1763 Gendarmerie Flintlock. Calibre 15.2 made at the French Armory in Maubeuge France. There has been repairs to the stock and the firing mechanism. The action works but could use some tuning up. The action works but is weak. It is marked RF on the stock which I believe means property of the Republic of France. There is some pitting mainly on the front barrel band. This pistol would have been in use during the American and French Revolution.
