Description:
#1964861, Winchester Model 12 - 12 Bore Trap That Remains New in the Box and Never Assembled, Made in 1964, 30" Duckbill Vent Rib Barrel, .727" bore .033" choke (Full), 2 3/4", Extended forend with their 3 panel checkering, Checkered pistol grip stock at 14 9/16" over the 1" Winchester pad, 8 lbs. 14 oz., Nice wood that matches the forend accurately, Steel grip cap, All blue is at 99.9%, All wood finish is at 99.9%, From this era Winchester called their vent rib "New Winchester Ventilated Rib", The box remains in very good condition and still retains the outer sleeve for shipping. This sleeve has the U.S. postage meter sticker dated Oct. 20, 1964 and cost Winchester the entire sum of $1.53 to ship it to its destination. This Winchester Trap Gun retailed for $159.50 in 1964. I have a gut the word was out that Winchester was going to cease the Model 12 as a production gun before it went to the custom shop and a buyer bought this piece merely to put it away. After 54 years it remains in the factory box.
