Description:
Here is a very handsome and very desirable antique Winchester lever action rifle. It is a Model 1886 Deluxe, with pistol grip, checkered wood, 26” octagon barrel rifle in one of the best calibers ever made, .45-90! This is even more desirable than the .45-70. This is an opportunity to own a super nice deluxe Winchester. The markings are all clear and sharp. The action is tight and the bore is very strong with very minor roughness. There is a generous amount of original blue remaining on the barrel and magazine tube. There is a small amount of case colors remaining on the frame. The pistol grip, checkered stock is beautiful with most of the original, factory piano varnish remaining and normal s and bruises for a rifle that’s 129 years old. The wood fits tight to the upper and lower tang and appears to have never been removed. Made in 1889, this antique rifle comes with a copy of the Cody Museum Winchester letter of authenticity as seen in the photos. That’s what I received when I bought it and didn’t order a new original. This old rifle was used but well cared for. I’ve tried to describe it the best I can and added a lot of photos to help show condition.
