This Colt Bisley is chambered in the most desirable caliber for any Colt Single Action, the 44-40. It is serial number 233042, making it's date of manufacture 1902. This Colt shows lots of dark and deep blue finish on the cylinder, trigger guard, grip frame, and barrel. The receiver is case hardened and shows complete coverage of bright colors. The original factory gutta percha grips with the molded-in Rampant Colt logo still look great. They appear completely free from cracks or repairs, and they are fit perfectly. Everything on this 116 year old Colt seems to work as it was designed to. The action is "in time" and locks up tight. The trigger breaks cleanly without any grittiness or drag. If you have been looking for a Colt Bisley Frontier Six Shooter that still looks great but you can shoot at the range, this 44-40 caliber example would be a perfect choice!
