I purchased a small collection; This side by side belonged to a texas ranger. Made by H. Pieper Co. in Belguim,imported to the U.S.A. about 1865, 12 ga. hammered, 20" barrels,the name carved on the stock, CAPT. NEIL COLDWELL, COMPANY A, DEC. 1876,
COMPANY A. The other side of the stock is a embedded badge, A COMPANY , 1876.
I have found much more info. on the capt. I would not fire this gun.
