Fabulous 1871 Remington Rolling Block issued to the New York Militia. Caliber is 50-70, full 36" barrel with minty bore and sharp rifling. Action is strong and functions flawlessly, and must be recocked after closing the chamber -a feature only the New York Militia rifles had. Stock is in great shape, has a few dings and handling marks but nothing cracked or rotted. Has very strong and clear government inspection cartouche by H.B. Hart. I wouldn't hesitate to fire this rifle immediately, it's in amazing original condition and a great addition to a gun collection at a reasonable price.
