This 1979-80 vintage Sako Model AII(2) Forester Mannlicher rifle is spectacular! It is as pristine as we have ever had. This Sako is chambered in the popular and accurate .243 Winchester cartridge, which is perfect for everything from varmints to Whitetail deer with minimal felt recoil. This Forester Model features a medium weight action, a 19.5" inch barrel, a full length checkered deluxe Walnut Mannlicher stock, a factory installed "Williams" adjustable rear sight, a brass beaded front sight blade with a matted ramp and provision for a sight hood, a gooved receiver for Sako rings which is also matted on the top, a bolt which is serial numbered to the rifle with a matted cocking piece shroud, and a receiver mounted safety behind the bolt handle. This rifle is in minty, "like new" condition overall. The original factory gloss blue finish looks immaculate on all the metal parts. The bore is minty and bright, with no erosion or pitting whatsoever. the rifling still looks brand new with sharp lands and gooves. The stock is also nearly pristine. It is free from cracks or repairs and only has a couple of tiny handling marks on it it. The stock features a blued metal nose cap in excellent condition and a factory installed and Sako branded recoil pad. The length of pull to the end of the pad is 14" inches. This rifle comes complete with original Sako 1 inch rings and a nice looking brown/tan nylon sling. Unlike the rifle, the rings show a little wear on the screw heads which are a little marred, and there is some minor high edge wear on the sides and fastening hardware. This rifle is both classy and beautiful. If you have been looking for a vintage Sako that is like-new for your collection, or to take to hunting camp and be envied by your hunting buddies, this is it!!!! REDUCED!
