This Winchester M-70 Pre '64 serial no. 519983, Cal .264 Win Magnum, 26" round barrel. The bluing is consistant through out.
The Muzzle has some slight edge wear - Normal for the age of the gun. The upper edge of the chamber does also, otherwise
The floorplate and trigger housing area are good w/only a slight wear mark in the area of the hinge.
I would give this gun an overal bluing rating of about 97 %. The stock has some rubs on the left side just before and ahead of the
trigger area. Ther are some markings on the rear area of teh stock in and around the comb area. The forearm area is good
w/none of the usual rest indentation along the borrom of the forearm.
This fine Winchester is another example of a great gun theat was used to hunt and had good care. The overal rating to me
for this M-70 is an NRA Rating of Verg Good to Excellent.
