Description:
.50-70 caliber,  22" barrel, marked "NEW MODEL 1863" at the breech and the mfg. info forward of the rear sight.  Falling block breechloading action converted to metallic cartridge.  Iron mounts.  Walnut forend and buttstock bearing the "DFC" cartouche in the middle of the  buttstock on the leftside.  The barrel showing a gunmetal gray mixing with a  smooth brown patina.  The receiver, lock and hammer has fading case colors mixing with gray giving a pleasing overall look.  Very nice wood with only minor handling marks.  Mint bore.
