EARLY MERRIMACK ARMS CO. SOUTHERNER .41 RF CAL. SINGLE SHOT DERINGER CA. 1860’S. All original and matching serial numbers in the 2,xxx range. 2 ½” octagon barrel stamped on top “SOUTHERNER”. Side of barrel marked “MERRIMACK ARMS & MANUFACTURING CO./NEWBURYPORT, MASS./PATENTED APR 9, 1867”. First type produced and only 6500 total production. Excellent and all original with 99% nickel finish. Original rosewood grips in fine plus condition with the original finish as well. Excellent bore and perfect working order. Early Frontier era derringer.
