This Savage is chambered for the 22 Savage High Power cartridge. The rifle's serial number is 127068. This rifle is fitted with a Lyman tang sight. the rear sight is a folding two blade sight. The front sight is the standard blade sight. The charcoal blue receiver is high polished and quite stunning. The lever has very strong color cased finish. The barrel blue would rate a 97% condition. The butt plate has the Savage logo in the center. The stock has been checkered in the old French style with open checkering lines. This is a really nice early Model 1899 where the bluing is really stunning to look at. The stock does not look bad, just that the checkering is not original to this gun. Overall this is a pleasing looking early rifle. I have several boxes of modern ammunition that can be purchased with this rifle. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
