Description:
Nicely made custom rifle on a 1909 Mauser action in 338-06 caliber. Not sure of the maker, but it has all the bells and whistles. 24" Octagon to Round barrel, with one standing / one folding leaf rear sight. Detachable side-mount scope with Leupold VX-III 2.5x8 scope mounted. Low-swing safety, jeweled bolt, and checkered bolt knob. Rifle action, barrel, and floorplate have been engraved in a simple pattern, including gold bands at the barrel breech and muzzle. Stock has good figure, with an ebony forend cap and a reinforcing bolt at the recoil lug, steel grip cap, and recoil pad on the butt. Checkering is done in a fleur de lis pattern. Overall, a nice-looking custom rifle with all the classic features. Weighs 9lbs 11 oz scoped and ready to go. Will include a set of dies and 40 pieces of brass / loaded rounds.
