Custom rifle built by CR Hiatt, an Albuquerque, NM gunsmith active from the '30's on. Built on a small ring mauser action in.284 Win caliber. Lightweight mountain rifle with 22" barrel marked "C.R. Hiatt Albuquerque NM" and weighing 7lbs 7ozs less scope. Stock is in great shape with nice figure in the wood, steel grip cap, and rubber recoil pad. Checkering done well in fleur de lis pattern. Has jeweled bolt, low swing safety, checkered bolt knob, and 2 pc bases and rings mounted. Just a nice all-around big game rifle, a cut above the mass-produced stuff. Will include a set of dies and 36 pcs of brass.
